A 5 Days Kidepo National Park and Sipi Falls Safari takes you eastwards to Kapchorwa to view the beautiful Sipi waterfalls and the fascinating surrounding landscapes including Mount Elgon and then proceed to the park.

Detailed itinerary of the 5 days Kidepo Valley National Park and Sipi Falls

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Sipi Falls

Driver picks up guests from the agreed location in Kampala or Entebbe and start the journey to the trip to the east. Spend a little time at Sezibwa falls to see the Kabaka trail and another stopover in Jinja town which is known for its marvelous attractions including the source of the Nile. Lunch en route in Jinja town and proceed to Kapchorwa.

Day 2: A visit to the Sipi Falls and Nyero Rock Paintings

Rise up early, enjoy your breakfast at the lodge or hotel restaurant and head out for a walk through coffee plantations, and hike to the beautiful Sipi falls. The guide gets you to the best location for photography on all the tree water falls. By the time you get back to the lodge, restaurant staff are ready to serve a meal for lunch which they surely do.

A visit to the Nyero Rock paintings in the afternoon to see the art of the people who are said to have lived in this area before 1250 CE. Drive to Soroti town and relax at the lodge/hotel

Day 3: Travel from Soroti to Kidepo Valley National Park

Most days on an African safari start early (06am or earlier). On rising up, get ready for breakfast, check out andstart transfer to the ruggedjungle. (You may do some activities such as rock climbing in the morning before departure to the park).

Lunch en route, a short evening game drivewhich is an opportunity to watch the beautiful sunset.Animals often seen in the plains are Buffaloes, Zebras, Elands, duikers and Uganda kobs among others. Kidepo national park is home to predators like lions, cheetahs and hyenas.

Day 4: Morning game drive and Community visit

Most days of an African safari start early (06am or earlier) to hit the tracks for wildlife viewing. You have been informed about how the day will start and you therefore wake up, enjoy breakfast and drive to through different tracks in the park for sightings of the day. Game drive ends at around 10:30am. Get back to the lodge and relax.

The afternoon is scheduled for a visit to the Karamoja communities. The Karamajong are one of the tribes in Uganda with a unique and preserved culture and social life. The Ik as well who live high on the Morungole mountains are an interesting small ethnic group of about 10,000 people living in the Karamoja region. Interacting with these groups of people offers an insight about these tribes in Uganda.

Day 5: From Kidepo Valley National Park to Kampala

This is the last day of the trip and is spent on the highway returning to Kampala. It also starts early because of the long distance to be covered- about 410 kilometers. After breakfast, check out and drive through main towns likeGulu with brief stopovers at some of the magnificent landscapes like Karuma falls. We have our lunch en route and arrive in Kampala in late afternoon or in the evening.The driver drops guests at the destination earlier agreed upon in Kampala or Entebbe.
