The 2 Days Uganda Birding Safari is designed to all travelers who are bird lover. The safari allows you to the explore the iconic Entebbe as well as the intriguing Mabamba wetland in the Pearl of Africa. Mabamba wetland is one of the famous birding destination that is a renown home to the Rare shoebill stork although it hosts other numerous bird species. The wetland is extremely interesting and it has germinated into a birder’s Haven site. Delight in an insight to spot the Rare shoebill at any time of the day plus a diversity of other colorful bird species. Entebbe Peninsula is another birding site that allows you catch a glimpse sight picture of what Uganda can offer on a birding safari.

Day 1: Birding experience at UWEC and Botanical Gardens Entebbe

After your early morning, you join your driver guide for drive to Entebbe paradise, here you get a chance to take a visit at the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWEC). The site is a great home to captive animals plus over 170 bird species such as; the 7 species of bird weaves like- Kingfishers, Orange weavers, Rare northern masked Weaver, sunbird among others. Enjoy your lunch and later in the afternoon take a drive to Entebbe Botanical gardens to enjoy another phase of birding. The place hosts over 150 bird species such as; Grey Capped Warbler, red chested, Scarlet Chested Sunbird Toro, great Reed Warbler, Malachite, woodland and pygmy Kingfishers, Grey woodpecker among others. After a wonderful experience, transfer to your booked lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Excursion to Mabamba Wetland

After a delicious breakfast, head out on a guided drive to the Mabamba wetland one of the best places to spot the exceptional rare shoes bills Stork. Other bird species that will be spotted at this site include; Grey Herons, Ducks, Allen’s and Purple Gallinule, Ruffaus Bellied Heron, blue Swallow, Egrets among others. while enjoying birding watching at this wetland, grab a chance to spot the sitatunga Antelopes that call the swamp its home . Later in the late afternoon return back to your hotel of residence either Kampala or Entebbe International airport to catch up with scheduled Flight back home or your next safari destination.
