2 Days Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Safari entailed itinerary for the 2 day gorilla trekking safari in Rwanda
Day 1: Kigali city tour and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Have your breakfast early and thereafter meet the safari guide who picks you up from the preferred location in Kigali. He takes us around some of the interestingplacesin Kigali for a city tour. Kigali is one of the cities that offer the best of acity tour in Africa. There is much to see during this tour but a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre is not worth missing. It offers an insight of the 1994 Rwanda genocide.
Enjoy lunch at one of the hotels in Kigali and leave the city for Volcanoes national park. Travelerslove road trips around Rwandabecause of the views of the numerous hills. The 2 hours’ drive from Kigali to the park is an adventurous exploration of the country. Visit the Iby’iwachucultural village for an entertainment of traditional performances by the local people. Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and returning to Kigali
Raise up early and have breakfast, meanwhile lunch is being prepared and packed. We set off and drive to the park headquarters where gorilla trekking starts with briefing and joining others to add up to 8 people and trek for the same gorilla family. After sharing the rules and regulations of the park regarding trekking, we penetrate into the forest with a guide who takes us through different areas in search of the gorillas. Ranging from the terrain to the giant apes, everything in the rain forest is appealing. We spend one hour with the gorillas, watch them play, take care of their infants, feed and learn more from the guide about the group’s social life and characters. Other wildlife likely to be spotted during the trek include monkeys and baboons. Bird lovers have a great chance to spot a variety of forest birds.
We find our way back to the headquarters after watching the mountain gorillas. The safari driver is ready and on arrival, we embark on the return journey to Kigali.
